Generating a profit in 2022
The third quarter of 2022 wasn’t an easy one for investors. Stocks did have a good run in the first half of the quarter as major indexes rebounded from their sharp Q2 falls.
However, it was a different story in the second half of the quarter. With sentiment towards risky assets deteriorating on the back of fears of further interest rate increases, stocks gave up their gains from the first half of the period, while cryptoassets and commodities experienced weakness as well.

Three top-performing Popular Investors in Q3

Another Popular Investor who has delivered good results in recent months is Javier Rotllant Miras (jrotllant), who is based in Mexico. Javier — who has worked in management consulting for more than 12 years — started trading around five years ago. Since then, he has developed an effective strategy based around swing trading on commodities and currencies. Impressively, Javier has managed to generate positive returns every month of 2022 so far. He has also racked up double-digit gains for the year.
