Omnicom Group Inc. provides advertising, marketing and corporate communication services. The company operates in major markets around the world, through branded networks and agencies, including BBDO, DDB, TBWA and Omnicom Media Group. During the month, the company struck a $13.25 billion all-stock deal to buy rival Interpublic Group, creating the world’s largest advertising agency. The merger will create synergies of hundreds of millions of dollars, which can be used to explore AI investments and better compete with Big Tech firms.

Alaska Air Group, Inc. is the fifth-largest airline in the US. Flying almost uniquely with the Boeing 737 fleet, the company transports passengers and cargo to over 120 destinations throughout the US, and to parts of Mexico and Central America. Recently the company closed its $1.9 billion acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines. The airline has laid out plans for global expansion, announcing its first nonstop service from Seattle to Tokyo and to Seoul using Hawaiian's wide body planes.

YPF Sociedad Anonima is Argentina's state-run oil and gas company. YPF signed an agreement with Dutch oil giant Shell to develop the country's flagship liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. The multi-stage $50 billion Argentina LNG project aims to produce 10 million metric tons of LNG per year, exporting the gas to major global markets. In addition, YPF reached a deal to buy 100% of Mobil Argentina S.A.operations from Exxon Mobil. This acquisition grants YPF a 54.45% stake in the Sierra Chata area, located in the Vaca Muerta shale play, which is recognised for its high potential in shale gas production.

Honda Motor Co. is a Japanese global mobility company that manufactures motorcycles, automobiles and power products. The company was established in 1948 and has manufacturing facilities in several countries, including North America, Europe, Brazil, Mexico and Thailand. During December, Honda and Japan's Nissan Motor Co announced they were in talks to merge their operations by 2026, a historic pivot for Japan's auto industry. The combined conglomerate, which could potentially include Nissan's stake in Mitsubishi Motors, would amount to more than 8 million vehicle sales annually.

XRP is widely used as a bridge currency in global payments and plays a key role in Ripple's On-Demand Liquidity solutions. In December, Ripple expanded partnerships with financial institutions in Asia and the Middle East, integrating its On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) solution. This enabled near-instant cross-border payments using XRP, further solidifying its role in global financial systems
